AGNP-C
Nurse Practitioner
Laura Gautreau is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner with a strong clinical background in cardiovascular care. She earned her Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner degree from Spring Arbor University in 2019 after completing her undergraduate nursing degree at the University of West Florida.
Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Laura gained extensive experience caring for patients with cardiovascular conditions. She worked as a bedside nurse on cardiac telemetry units and later spent several years in cardiac diagnostics, where she performed and assisted with a variety of cardiovascular testing, including cardiac stress testing. These experiences helped shape her passion for cardiology and her commitment to providing thorough, evidence-based care.
Laura believes exceptional healthcare begins with listening. She takes the time to understand each patient’s concerns, health history, and individual needs while providing clear education so patients can better understand their conditions and feel confident in their treatment plans. She values a thoughtful, comprehensive approach to care and is known for her attentiveness, compassion, and determination to find answers for her patients.
Laura lives in Opelika, Alabama, with her husband, Nick, and their two sons, William and Carson. Outside of the office, she enjoys weightlifting, caring for her houseplants, hiking, spending time outdoors, and making memories with her family.
